The Ceremuga Family Website!

Just a quick update to wish everyone a Very good new year. The Ceremuga Family wishes all a prosperous and uneventful 2009!

First I would like to congratulate my father on his 70th Birthday, which we all celebrated on December 13th.  This was a wonderful event, with Matthew Weaver as our entertainer.  The event was one of the few times we, as a family, got together to celebrate such a wonderful event. (Mom, your day is coming!).

The entire family was able to attend, Lynn Peterman and family, Paula Rossi and family, Dan Ceremuga and family, David Ceremuga and family, Todd Theiss and family.  (listed by family relation and family).  I took a lot of pictures, so as I post process them, I should be able to do a few updates with some pictures.

Lauren Ceremuga (my daughter) had her first school band concert. The whole 6th grade did a wonderful job.   For only playing 3 months with an instrument, they did a wonderful job!  It seems like I had to take lessons for a year to accomplish what that band accomplished in 3 months.  In many ways I think the 6th grade band sounded better than the older group.  Must be a more talented group!   :).

In closing, I wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, and may next year bring some calm and enjoyment to everyones life.  It was also nice talking to everyone about our lives and good things happening throughout our families.  Watching all of the children play their instruments and get a chance to show off a little in front of the adults was priceless. Maybe we can turn our Christmas gatherings more into a social event, much like this. Less formality and a bit more sitting around the rooms and enjoying the company.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates. Life is busy! This update is going to be dedicated to my God Parents, Ted and Theo Rastok.

Growing up in Ohio, we had a very close family that often got together every weekend. Along with the close family, we still have wonderful friends who are considered family. One wonderful family is the Rastok's.
From the day I was born till this day, I was given the priviledge to be named their Godson.

Ted and Theo are more than this. They are family and considered as close as any Aunt and Uncle. Even to this day I receive and email now and then asking how I am doing. I repond, but for some reason my emails are not going through. Thus, I am dedicating an update to Ted and Theo.

Some random memories: My parents use to enjoy weekly visits to the Rastok's to play Bridge or Cribbage. I think it was one of those two. I can remember spending a LOT of time at their house. They are always so kind, fun, and humble. My memories are cut into bits and pieces throughout many years.

Ted Rastok is a joker. My Godfather could make me laugh like nobody else. His dry sense of humor and his laugh could get a room laughing. Their are so many memories that pop up in my mind of laughing, that I can't relate one from the other anymore. I do remember one time Ted came to our mountain cabin with my father and his brothers (We use to do that quite a bit) and he brought some of "his wife's soup" that he claimed she suffered over to make for everyone. Well we all fell for this one, it ended up being Ted boiling a leather boot and calling it soup. My Father still laughs about that one. Ted could pull some of the funniest pranks of anyone that I know.

As I cruise down memory lane, I can always remember talking a lot and joking with Theo. She is very sweet and fun. She also liked to make me laugh. She, even to this day, brings up things that she knew tickled me.

In closing, never forget the ones who helped shape your life. Ted and Theo Rastok added much to my life and have left a mark that they should be proud. They should be very proud. They not only are the best Godparents a person could wish for, but also wonderful people. I love you both, and hope to see you sometime soon.

We had our first visit to Lynn and Russ Peterman's new home (My sister and brother-in-law). I must say that this is our first time as a family spending quality ALONE time with them. It was the most wonderful 4 days of vacation we can remember. We only wish we could have finished our vacation at Lynn's and then came home. Not only is it beautiful, it is peaceful and a setting for relaxing your mind and body. I thank them for their hospitality and companionship. I really enjoyed getting to talk to Russ one on one a bit. I hope to visit them as often they will have us. Lynn and Russ, thank you, we love you.
