Oh my how things have changed in the years since I have updated this page. What I want to do is give some great software llinks and descriptions for those who like to work on their own PC's. I will have to prune out the older information on this page as it no longer applies to todays technology. As a note, if you own a PC of 2 or more years, you are really falling out of the lloop with technology. Time to start a slush fund for a PC upgrade!
Here is a list of spyware and virus removal tools that are free. USE them. I find that by using several spyware products together, you get much better results. For instance, use Spybot, clean, reboot. Then use Ad-Aware, clean, reboot. Repeat until no spyware exists. Here are the links.

I would highly recommend setting your Windows XP system to get updates automatically and install them daily. To do this, right click "My Computer" on your desktop and choose "Properties". There will be a tab at the top of named "Automatic Updates". I would set this to "Download updates automatically" When there are updates available, an icon will appear in your taskbar informing you to install them.
